whining transmission

Hi i'm new to bimmerfest bought my fisrt bmw in may just picked up my 5th bmw its a 2001 750il 178000 miles. transmission whining very loud and torque converter not locking up changed trany fluid and filter it quieted the whining down alot but still some whining even when warm. changed torque converter with new one it now locks up but tranny still whines seems to shift good . this is my first 750 and 5hp30 trans so I don't know how much noise it should make if any. sometimes there is a rattling noise from torque converter area [with the old and new torque converter] would it be time for complete rebuild or maybe valve body rebuild

Might be transmission filter. Aftermarket ones have weak plastics and bend than cause noises like whining. Could be valve-body
