Retrofit m-sport steering wheel? - want paddles..

Does anyone know if its possible to swap a non paddle wheel with a wheel that has paddles? Seems like it would make sense for it to be possible. Read on some other forums that its not possible. Seems hard to believe. Is it true if you purchased the cold weather package you lose the paddles?

You get paddles with sport auto.

I have an m-sport with no paddles - kinda sux. Didn't even know it was possible. Took a vehicle that was on the boat in route to another dealers inventory. If i wasn't in desperate need of a vehicle I wouldn't have locked into the car. In the end it wasn't a deal breaker for me.

They have them for sale on eBay UK. The paddles MIGHT be something that can be unlocked by coding.

James-happen to know the part number? Was following the coding threads and don't recall that being mentioned. Have a feeling the dealer would have to do this for me. I did read somewhere that the dealer did a conversion on a 2012. Who knows.. I'll keep digging see what I find.

Anyone have luck with retrofitting paddles onto a car with previously no paddles?
