$48,500 out the door.

Volcano375 01-10-2013 09:17 AM

price better be very very good, since 2011 year doesnt have a good reputation for the new 5 series. Personality i never buy the first year of the new model, cause usually they fix a lot of things after first year model. Good luck.

HGILL23 01-10-2013 09:23 AM

I'm a little afraid of the first year model thing, but the 100K warranty helps with that.

DJHomie 01-10-2013 09:45 AM

Good luck with the car..I'am actually looking at the same type of car but 2012 model in Jet Black. They're going for 52-55k. Same coverage 6yrs, 100,000 miles. If I don't find my car, I'll just order a new one.

HGILL23 01-10-2013 09:53 AM

Im going to check what software level my car is on,,, if its older should i take the car in to be updated or just leave it alone since it works fine with my iphone??

HGILL23 01-10-2013 09:56 AM

thanks DJhomie,,, good luck in finding the car you want as well

Jkammerer 01-10-2013 10:03 AM

I spent weeks looking before just picking up a very similar 2011 535i myself. You're price (out the door include tax?) seems to be in the ball park to what I saw for a CPO. I purchased mine 2 weeks ago has all your features plus prem package 2, upgraded stereo, windows shades, etc. Mine is not CPO and I got it for 40995 (plus tax).

HGILL23 01-10-2013 10:16 AM

wow nice deal Jkammerer ,, yes the tax is included in the out the door price i got...you got a lot of options in yours i don't have,,, jealous,,, there was another 535i with more options close by for around the same but i really wanted White, and really wanted to 100K warranty,, enjoy it man,, i will definitely enjoy my first "Ultimate Driving Machine"

EDIT: well actually looking at the deal you got, it looks like we got very close to the same deal except you got more options,, mine cost more because of the CPO 100k, good for you, enjoy

Jkammerer 01-10-2013 10:33 AM

Yep...I agree. CPO seems to add about $3K-$4K. I'm assuming you also have new or nearly new tires with the CPO..I have to replace mine soon (with 25k miles). All together...I think we ended up pretty close to the same deal. So far I love also my first "ultimate driving machine". Just hoping I don't get killed not having the CPO.

Decboy 01-10-2013 10:35 AM

I think it's a good deal, since your car is nicely equipped. It's difficult to compare since CPO prices will vary among different regions depending on demand. I know the CPO E92s were in demand at some point and they are still pretty expensive. Numerous dealers wanted to buy my wife's 09' E92 and we finally sold it for $30k last year after 3 years of ownership to a local BMW dealer without having to buy a car from them. We bought it for $48k new back in 09'.

I think this is somewhat subjective...if YOU we're comfortable and happy with the price you paid for the quality of the car you received; then it's a great deal. You'll hear stories here of who paid what in this state, or that state, or this dealer, or that dealer. In the end, we're all paying a lot of money BUT for a quality car. Don't get me wrong, I know there are some horrible "deals" out there with shady salesmen; but for the most part we all pay around generally the same. Just my opinion of course...congrats and have fun!

HGILL23 01-11-2013 10:32 AM

the price came out to about $44,500 before tax/fees,, OUT THE DOOR was $48,500.

i get the feeling though that i could have gotten them a little lower on the price, maybe another 400 or 500 lower, overall im happy with the purchase:)

Does that mean tax is included in this price?

Yes tax is included in this price.

milepig 01-11-2013 11:19 AM

I have a different attitude toward this question. If you like the car and don't feel slimey, you "did OK'. Don't dwell on it, it will only give you heartburn.

Why ask after the fact?

So that when others search they get all the details. Sharing helps keep everyone informed and helps the community.

When people use terms of Out the Door - no one really knows driver fees, doc fees, taxes, and add on etc.

Just my 2 cents.

HGILL23 01-11-2013 11:33 AM

slight buyers remorse, but as soon as i drive the car it goes away,,,, i guess I'm trying to convince myself its okay to spend that kind of money for a car,,, this is my first car worth more than 20K

You shouldn't. Its a sweet car and in the end their will always be a better deal. But if you wait for it - you will do so eternally.

Do not worry, the depreciation is not liniair, but rather exponentional.
So you loose a lot of worth the first week of possesion and almost nothing in week 52. :bigpimp:
After the first couple of weeks you just will love the car and forget about the lost money.
Be happy and enjoy.
