Overheating

Hi I'm hoping for a bit of guidance!
I've just done the head gasket on my 123d I've had the head skimmed and ive rep***322;aced thermostat, head gaskets and head bolts with genuine BMW parts but its still overheating! Iv flushed the system aswell. Now I'm thinking the block must be damaged, any ideas also as anyone tried steel seal! Is it worth a try even if its only so I can trade it in?
Any help would be aprieciated
Cheers

Hi there, super old tread I know but did you find the overheating problem in the end?
Mines just overheated but coolant is all good, fan is working and the rad is getting hot evenly which indicates to me it's a sensor which has crapped it's pants?

Water pump was all good but it turn out to be a temperature sensor that crapped it's pants.
Sorted the problem with a new unit ***55357;***56397;
