First post here for a new member. I am in love with this car, can't believe I waited this long to purchase a BMW. Planning on buying tires in the spring and thought I would go for a different look on the wheels. Have not been in a car that drives this good and dont want to screw up the dynamics, can not decide on factory size of 19wheels or step up to the 20inch. Does anyone have experience with the differences in ride between the two. The look is perfect with the 20's, just dont want to deteriorate the ride too much. Thanks

The dynamic won't change much, if any. 19"s you have 35 sidewall profiles. 20"you will have 30. Thats like rubberband. I bent one of my stock 19's few weeks back. Roads here sucks.

If you have the money, go with 20s.

The issue? Potential wheel damage/repair. And tires are more $$$ and you will be replacing rear tires very often in this car.

Personally I like the way the stock 19's look (assuming you have the Sport Package). I don't think I'd change them. I've thought about getting them smoked, but haven't done anything about it yet.

Do it! Smoke it. You won't regret it. Gives the car a more low key aggressive look. Mine is gunmetal with carbon black. Im not a fan of dark/black wheels but this is ftw!

Congrats on your new ride!! I said the same thing a few months ago when i bought mine. As far as the wheels, i like the look the sport package gives the car. For now, I'm leaving it the way it is. Off subject, v8...do you have any pics of the wheels smoked?
