rough idling on all cylinders, this does clear up after a reset but then comes back after around an hour, several misfires detected.

Variable intake system, plausibility and temperature warming threshold, code 2820 and 2821

Thermostat stuck code 279b

what ever controls timing for intake.... VANOS no? they go bad.... thats what i can think of... i mean if something literally broke in ther, your car would not run right, or at all... as far as misfires go...

thermostat does go out, thank the gods for it being stuck open and not closed... need to replace TS..

replace TS first.... maybe it is stuck half open or closed... other errors are temp related my first thing.....

have you checked running temp with OBD scanner...?

Nope havent checked the running temperature.....

car is running absolutely fine.... accelerates perfect and no other issues.....

I dont know what to do. Have ordered a new Thermostat unit so waiting for it....

From what I remember when I had that problem. I started cheep. Try replacing o2 sensors and thermostat. Then re check codes. As far as misfires check the seating on spark plug modules. Recheck codes. If codes for misfire reappear try swapping spark modules to check if codes follow the module. Question when was last spark plug change?
