Temp warning
I know this is unlikely to get any sympathy from other parts of the country, but here in Northern California we're having what we call a cold snap, with temps dropping into the 30's, and even the 20's in places.

Last night as I was driving through one of the inland areas, I got a blinking light on my dashboard display 37F. Aha! I know what this is, I thought, I've read about that on the Bimmerfest forum, though I've never seen it before. It's a low temp/ice on road warning. No need to look at the owner's manual.

Thanks guys! :D

Lmao!!!! It's been freaking freezing here in NorCal! I got that darn message every couple of miles this morning on my commute down I-5. At least my buns were toasty with the seat warmers turned on ;)

That temp of 37 degrees is 37 degrees above zero. Wait til you see a -37 temp.

Sorry to hear about the cold weather. We almost had temps in the 60s last weekend and back to the 40s soon. Not a normal winter in Michigan.

I believe this is a great safety feature, not just the Ice Warning but the outside temp in general. I live and drive in mountainous areas where the road and air temps can vary widely depending on elevation and how much sunlight the area gets. During a snowsquall a few weeks back, the outside temp went from +2C in Greenville to -3C by the time I climbed to Hendersonville and knowing so meant I knew that the snow falling was going to stick and accumulate on the interstate.

LOL great post, for a second I thought it was going to be one of those "what does this light mean" questions. But yeah, crazy weather going on all around the US. Was in the 60's in DC area over the weekend?? Now its back in the 40's and raining.

FYI - What's more annoying is when you rip out the temperature sensor on a parking curb and the damn thing chimes in every second to say -40*F or +122*F
