540i Automatic wont turn over
I moved away from my beloved e39 and ended up not driving it for 4 months without a trickle charger attached. Very bad news. Now, of course the battery is dead, but even with a (hybrid) truck connected to it via jumper cables it clicks but won't turn over. I left it connected for 20 minutes or so, but that didnt change anythjng.
When I disconnect the other truck it seems like there's no juice in the battery (or at least not enough to turn on the lights). I'm wondering if I need a new battery? Or maybe something worse like the solenoid has busted. Tried the stomp trick and haven't had any luck. What do you guys think? |
Your battery is dead and probably won't hold a charge.
Jumper cables really need a good connections at both batteries to get the dead car to start. This is even more important if the battery is dead in the car you are trying to start. |
