E46 problems
Hi everyone, I'm new to an E46 and have a couple of problems with my 330Ci convertible that I purchased recently.
Firstly there is a rhythmic vibration/shudder in the car at 110 kmh (70 mph). the rhythm seems to be at about 4 second spacings, I've had the tyres balanced and a wheel alignment done, any idea what it could be? Centre bearing?? Tail shaft balance??
Also the top third of the TV/radio/OBC display is dull. I presume it's a dud backlight but don't know how to remove the unit from the car to check it or replace it, can anyone tell me how to remove it?
Thanks in advance

Check your axles, one might be busted and can cause vibration. I had similar problem when driving on highway for a long period of time, I thought it was wheel bearing.

how many miles are the vehicle?

As for the backlight, there is a "rolling knob" next to the headlight switch, do you have it pushed all the way up?

Guibo, center support bearing, wheel bearing, or more unlikely--diff problem.

What is the condition of your tires?
