Am I the only person who really likes their car
 

I thought I would put a positive note in this forum. Though, I am very anal and type A personality I am a really happy with my car. I have had much more expensive cars but I really think the f10 550 is a lot of bang for my buck. I am pleased... Thanks BMW

I liked my 2011 550xi very much and I posted it many times. ;)

I have owned 18 cars, the F11 is the best to date.
I like the car a lot and expect a better car in a couple of years.
The automoto industry keeps on developing better products.

I love mine also, but I will continue to adorn her with gifts and enhancements....

Gifts? Enhancements? Are we talking about a car or a girlfriend?

Hell not!!

I'm absolutely infatuated with this car. IMO perhaps the most perfect overall car in the world for me, meets all of my needs in about every which way I wanted. Couldn't think of another one I'd rather have that doesn't cost a very considerable amount more (especially considering my initial budget was higher than what I'm spending on this, but this just swayed me toward it so well).

EDIT:

Okay perhaps the 6 Gran Coupe would be my ultimate, however at 6'4 the headroom is too tight up front and seating position not ideal, not to mention although being probably the most gorgeous 4-Door on the market to me, I don't think it's that much better looking than the F10, if even better looking at all, considering IMO the F10 always looks good and "right", and the 6 GC sometimes looks awkward and "off", yet then sometimes jaw dropping.

So, yeah, I reiterate my position with the F10. :D

For the price you really get a car full of lots of bells and whistles.

I think so too. I find the 5 series offers the best value in the BMW lineup. And it is beautiful to boot...

I completely agree with the OP. Mine is a 535xi, not a 550, but I also feel it's the best car I've owned. Not the most expensive, but still the best overall. Yep, it does have a quirk or two, but nothing that changes this positive opinion.

Good post...I love my 550i and you're right problems and issues tend to get more posts...My last car, M3 was completely trouble free for the 2.5 years I owned it and I hope this one will be the same. This is my 10th BMW, including 2 motorcycles and probably the best :thumbup:

I like my 550xi. One the best cars I've had, including at 997.2 911. I'm thinking of trading mine and building one with exactly what i want.

Ditto. It's an all around great car that provides the necessary power, handling and luxury.

A friend of mine who has one and I have both said the same thing - going down the road it's a fabulous car. But it sure makes you work for your relationship with it. Piss-poor throttle tip in, jerky shifting, push button twice to turn off car, pull handle twice to open door. BMW could make us love the car a lot more if they would fix these things that no other car makes you deal with.

My 550i is my seventh BMW and my favorite to date, even with an M5 and M3 in the mix.

The best thing I can say about my '11 535ix is that it "fits like tailored suit." It responds exceptionally well to my every move, and in perfect comfort and classic style. Incidentally, Mrs. bimmerific says the same thing about her '08 335 ix coupe.

Overall, I love mine and agree with the above comments. I did not like the fact that i had to manually code things that I feel like i shouldn't have (e.g. Start / Stop) and that I still have to push the button every time i start the car to put it in sport mode.

Mine was in the shop for a couple of weeks for some body work and my rental was a Mazda 6. After driving the Mazda for about 10 days the difference was unbelievable. The comfort and handling of the F10 is light years ahead of the Mazda--as it should be. It was such a pleasure to be back in my 528. Now if they can just fix the throttle response/tip in issue . . .

I just bought my first BMW, a 2013 550i xDrive, 2 weeks ago and I love it! It is a great looking ride and certainly fun to drive. No complaints.

I like my car too. One of the best, if not the best, vehicle I've owned or driven...and I've driven a lot of cars....

Remeber though, it's ok to love your car...just don't love your car

I had mine build exactly the way I wanted, and I absolutely LOVE my car.

I have to travel frequently and rent all type of cars (including other 5's and 3's in Germany) but every time I get back home, and see my car parked at the airport, I can't help smiling at how gorgeous it looks. And the drive home reminds me every time why I love this car. :thumbup:

LOVE my 2013 528!!!!!! I've had it just over a month and have fallen in LOVE!!!!! BEST BMW I've owned. Ordered it just the way I wanted it and couldn't be happier the all the technology!!! Upgraded stereo ROCKS!!!!!

I could not agree more. My wife thinks I should have gone with the new Stingray but I just love bimmers! :angel:
