What are you drinking? Be it a fine Single Malt, a refreshing glass of Moscato, a cold Beer super-green fruit and veggie smoothie or Coke!

My every day bourbon is Basil Hayden - just love it more than most others... scotch, love the peaty tones of Laphroaig.

Rum - we're having a major rum-fest lately since visiting St. Croix for vacation - and we *LOVE* Cruxan rum - it's REALLY smooth and is pretty much a zero-hangover spirit - first time I've found a rum that doesn't make me pay in the morning for imbibing the night before.... ;)

Tequila - got a bit of a thing for Corzo Silver... super smooth - again, no hangover without going super-crazy on the bottle.

On a bit of a low carb diet kick at the moment, so I'm going to be making Cruzan 9 rum + coconut water tonight... it's pretty low-carb and as spiced rums go, the Cruzan 9 is heavy on vanilla - it's yummy...

Nice! We have much to discuss. I see we have similar palates.

Trying a new rum from Panama. Have yet to crack it open...

Also some absolutely increíble Tequila my brother in law brought me from Mexico...

Corona.

I'll grab a bottle of the Corralejo when I'm at the store - I'm pretty sure they have it - the store is owned by a mexican lady - and the tequila section is *large* ;)

The corzo I drink went super-nova - it was REALLY hard to find for a while and the price has gone sky-high - the bottle I got last time in the local store was $47.99 :yikes: But is is the local store - her prices are quite a bit higher than the discount store up the road (which is actually one of our customers - so I don't feel guilty buying from either).

Let us know how the rum goes!

Question... Do you enjoy corona or just drink it? Reason I ask, I remember drinking it back in school more as a fad. But now a days I would almost turn it down unless it was super chilled and the only beer available. It's just bitter as hell to me. Have you tried Modelo Especial or DOS Equis? Really enjoy those!

Corona was the choice beer of my parents, so it was one of the first beers I started drinking. I hated it at first, and honestly thought it would turn me off of beer completely. But after a while I acquired a taste for it, and now its my beer of choice. I even cook with it sometimes. Not only did I acquire a taste for it, but bitter beers in general, such as Peroni and I believe Franziskaner was another bitter one I remember. I havnt tried those you mentioned, but im always open to try new beers. Especially world beers. Everyone I know drinks Bud Light and Coors. I can stomach Bud, but Coors I cant stand.

Coors... Don't even know how they still exist.

I do enjoy Bud Light/Lime as a everyday brew. Modelo is a tad bolder than Dos Equis but they are both great tasting to me. Dos Equis also has an 'Amber' that is very nice.

Right now I'm drinking chilled Purity Vodka. Distilled 34 times and considered the best vodka in the world.

Give it a try if you have the opportunity. Purity vodka is something completely different then the **** you made grog with in high school.

Interesting.... I've had 9 times distilled and when chilled it's as smooth as water. I can only imagine what 34x is like.

It's really good, give it a try if you can buy a bottle in your area.

I know the family that owns the estate that produce Purity vodka, so I have visited the castle where it's produced several times and seen the process. Normal vodka is distilled a number of times (depending on quality) and then filtered through coal, silver or quartz (also depending on quality). Because of the number of times that Purity is distilled, they don't have to filter the vodka at al. In that way you get the smoothness but also a lot of flavor at the same time that normally gets partly lost in the filtering process.

Btw, it's casual Tuesday today for me so now I will hit the gym and then the hot tub where I'm going to have a bottle of the German beer Hofbräu (from Munich).

I looked for that Purity Vodka - it isn't sold in Colorado... grr... what does a bottle go for?
