95 740i... Programmer???
Is there any way at all to trick the computer into accepting a programmer? I heard the 95 models have somethin that blocks them in the computer.
|
Is this to reprogram the engine computer or to access one of the others - there are about 6.
|
Honestly I couldn't tell you! I've just been told that programmers are blocked in this year model. And was wondering if there's a way around it!

This is probablly the only thing your going to find for your car. Theres not much out there in the way of "programmers" for BMW's. You can always go "$$ stand alone $$", mega-squirt...ect.

Your only gonna get about 8-10hp max for your $200. If you want an extra kick just go with a 50-75 wet-shot of NOS. Theres an M62tu 540i in the E39 section running 2 stage systems. A 75hp single fogger shot and a 150hp direct port fogger shot. Hes been doing this for 30K+ miles on a stock motor with no problems. Keep in mind he takes very good care of his motor when it comes to preventive maintenance. You need to start with a motor that is very sound.
Heres a pic of his setup. http://i849.photobucket.com/albums/a...C540ia/SW8.jpg |
There is always a way round, but to which computer?
|
Idk what computer blocks the programmer in this car. I'd like to find out for myself too! I'm sure they make better programmer than ones that'll add 8-10 horses. I'm lookin to spend a lot more than $200 on one
|
The 'block' (if it exists) will be software in each computer. May have to reprogram off the car or 't' in whilst on a dyno for extra horses.

Thanks
