traded my x5 4.4 for a 01 530i last month
car was bone stock when i got it... mechanically i have done some research and changed a few parts that seem common to fail from the FSU to oil filter housing / power steering hoses / cooling system and stabilizer links so far have m tech bumpers finned double exhaust diffuser m5 mirrors m5 rear view mirror trunk lip spoiler hamman rep front lip h&r lowering springs plasti dipped the moldings (black) led bulbs interior / exterior resonator and muffler delete with tips hid bulbs 6k black roof and roof wing pioneer double din tv radio 20inch bbs lm reps are hanging out in the garage til winter leaves us |

not really dont get me wrong truck was amazing ! but the spark plugs kept getting drenched in oil ! and alot of blue smoke was being produced ! i changed ccv and all its components !
the e39 is healthy compared to the x5 |
do you mind taking a picture from below of how you did your dual exhaust?

they basically just cut a hole in my spare tire well and welded a tunnel like area .. to allow a straight pipe or even a muffler to be installed.. as far as the spare tire goes a full tire doesnt fit but a donut does !since now theres a small sized lump on the inside of the spare well .. pretty decent job i just need to get a can of silver spray paint and spray the inside of the trunk where the welding was done ! besides that i have no complaints no water gets in or out ! i deleted my resonators and went with straight pipes with tips .. but its kinda annoying after a while so im going to reinstall the resonators since it sounded ok with just the muffler delete ... ill try to post videos
