I'm damn glad I got this....

Looks awesome! I would consider it but it looks like it lowers the car alittle too much for my driveway. I scrape my 3D Design lip as is if i'm not careful.

Very nice! How hard is the install?

kl07rph 01-23-2013 11:49 AM

Nice! But aren't you afraid of pitting/chips from snow/salt/debris? I think I recognize that area (Hinsdale)?

Totally agree with you Alan in that I'm going to be careful about those crazy dips and inclines around here....the last thing I want to hear is a crack or splinter lol

Yup I had it done at my dealership - Laurel BMW in Westmont....that was the closest gas station I could find without running on fumes haha

The install wasn't bad at all....they started last night and it was ready for pick-up early this morning.

The look of your F10 finally sold me on my future "daddy" mobile! My E92 is not practical for our 2 month old.

ausdude 02-13-2013 03:56 PM

I want one but Im afraid of making the front too low as well

Looks great dude! I wish my wife would put that on her 535i...but at least she's down with lowering it!

Have you thought about color matching it AW?

psetlak 02-13-2013 09:04 PM

Thanks everyone for the nice comments.

I actually have thought about color matching but I haven't seen any photos of that....so I'm a little hesitant. If I end up not matching, i still think the carbon fiber stands out nicely, yet not ridiculously over the top....and it matches the carbon fiber M-spoiler on the rear deck.

The front splitter will decrease clearance by about a solid 1-1.5 inches but i haven't had any trouble on inclines or anything....it's actually not that noticeable or significant because it blends in so well with the M-Sport bumper.

Do you have any plans to install springs to get rid of the wheel gap? Wondering if that would make it too low. In any case, the splitter looks great.

psetlak 02-14-2013 05:14 AM

I'm thinking about the springs....but you're totally right...I feel that would lower it too much...although I heard AC springs lower it the least compared to others. It's tempting....and it'll probably ultimately happen lol :)
