Adding heated steering wheel to a 2003 x5

I am adding a heated steering wheel from a 2007 m series x5 to a 2003 x5 4.4 with out the heated feature.
Will the wiring and plugs for the multifunction switches be compatible between the two?
Any insight for this change over would be a big help.
