Parking Assistant Retrofit for 2013 750i possible?
 

Is it possible to retrofit or add the Parking Assistant feature to a 2013 750i that already has the driver assistant package (hence the top view and side cameras and corresponding sensors)? While it was a $500 MSRP option, the car I purchased did not have it.

I am wondering if this is software only or requires any additional hardware and if it is possible.

Here is the BMW definition of the option: the optional Park Assistant automatically recognises parking spaces and takes over the steering during parking manoeuvres. The driver assists the operation by accelerating or braking, keeping head and eyes free for the most important task.

I will ask. Thanks for the reference. I believe I have an LCI model - it is a 2013 NA car (and also has the LCD lights and B&O which I understand are part of the LCI refresh)

Did you ever find out if it can be retrofitted? I'm in the same situation.

Contact Patryk at info@bimmer-tech.net I know the mirror cameras can be retofitted. Not sure about whole car parking itself thing.

They possibly can be if its a LCI. If not impossible.

I did receive a response from Bimmer-tech telling me that this retrofit will be around $900 + installation.

I have been traveling and have not decided if I will do this on my leased car.
Since I do have all the cameras and sensors that come with the driver assistant package, I still do not know if this involves any hardware or if its only software.

Bimmer-tech was fast to respond and they did say they had an installer not too far @ $95 per hour (didn't say how long this retrofit would take time wise)
