How To Replace Gear Selector Cover?
 
Has anyone replaced the standard brushed metal look automatic gear selector cover with the M performance Carbon Fiber cover? Is this difficult to do? My BMW dealer said this is NOT a do it yourself swap as the existing cover has to be broken to remove.

This is the BMW part number: M Performance Carbon Fiber Selector Lever, Automatic Transmission 61312250703
