Transfer Case Actuator Replacement
Hi All!,
My 2005 X3 with 60k miles is now showing ABS, Brake and 4x4 lights, I believe its the transfer case actuator gear issue. Doe anyone know of a shop near Seattle, WA that would fix it cheaply (either replace just the gear) or use a refurbished actuator. The usual shop I visit insists on procuring their parts at much greater cost than I can find online. Thank you!. |

Thanks noego, unfortunately live in an apartment and can't do this myself.

Just get a rebuilt one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-X5-X3-Tr...049238&vxp=mtr
and get any local automotive service place to replace it - should be about 1 hour labor charge. Just a case of getting access to the 4 bolts that hold it on which might be easy with the car on a lift. Don't have to have BMW expertise at all for the job. |
