Got my 550!
 

So excited to finally get my new to me 550i yesterday! Other than a few minor rock chips on the front bumper the car is nearly perfect even with 51k miles. The 350 mile ride home with my son was beyond enjoyable. I thought my wifes's 535 was fun to drive; this car makes me want to think up excuses to have to go places. Spent all day today detailing it and then the wife and I went out for some diner and drinks.

Guys I bought a 2010 carbon black 550 with 21,000 miles from the dealer. Guy who owned it never drove it, just sat in the garage. Very clean, no dents, chips or scratches. Everything is clean on it.

Congrats! Guys. I maybe picking one up in the near future; my wife mentioned on the sly that she could take the 545i and I could get a 550i. She was never a fan of BMW until I got the 545i and now she loves it. LOL!

Yeah, my wife was a skeptic, too! Now I get her out of her 535! She loves the car so much that SHE does the quick detailing every day after her commute. (She's never had that kind of interest in a car before.

Only got one or two pics so far. Its a 2008 550i. Sport pkg, nav, sat, hd radio, sport trans, etc. Space gray metallic. It does have a couple of nicks on the front bumper so I will probably have it repainted, but I don't mind since I got such a good deal on my trade in.

Nice car, very clean...I love how they vacuum and clean the carpet to look that way. Wish i could do that. You have the Steptronic trans and not the Sport Auto Trans, by the way. Sport Auto comes with paddle shifters..

When I was deciding what kind of car to buy I was seriously thinking about a MB E Class. I came close but didn't do and am confident I made the right choice. Every time you guys post pics of your new rides, I think about when I bought mind and that good, reassuring feeling comes back. IDK about performance, but just on looks alone, the e60 5 series, especially LCI 550i is unbeatable in terms of looks, stance, interior appointments. It is seriously one of the top 5 most incredible/beautiful vehicles I've ever seen. Keep posting those pics! It doesn't get old lol

When you mentioned the e class I remembered the time when I went to but my 550. So I saw this 550 on the internet and went to check it out. I went to the dealer and saw the car, did a very good inspection on it, and I liked it, I told the dealer I will come back in a week, He told me there are some people he are looking at this car too so if I come back the car might not be here anymore. I said its fine and left. I came back home and started to do a research on the car and a lot. After a week I called the dealer they still had the car so I went for it. I pulled up to the parking lot and saw this 2007 E550 AMG Black on black with every option possible next the 550i. When I saw it, my mind flipped and I didn't know what to do, they both had the same miles same year same price. I took the E class for a test drive I liked it and I just sat at the dealer and didn't know which one to get. So after test driving both cars for 4 times, and comparing each thing with each other for 3 hours I ended up with the BMW and made the perfect choice, because BMW had more positive factors. The E550 was so nice looking on the other side, my favorite color and all. I hated the silver on the 550i and the wheels were aftermarket and small (525i size) But its all perfect now :thumbup:

I was looking at an E350. If my option included an AMG, (Isn't that an E63?) I may have gone MB. I like the AMG much better than the M5 because the AMG is much more understated. M5's are great cars but look a lil too immature for me. M5's look like they always want to race. The E550 would've been tempting but I think its safe to say I'd gone with the BMW still.

E550 AMG was like the m sport for the bmw, like rims, suspension, bumpers, side skirts... If it was E350 my choice would not stop at the Benz for sure.
My friend has the e350 and he regrets buying that car, power wise, comfort wise, option wise...

Agreed! He picked the BEST color, in my humble opinion:p
