Problem with OBDII port under steering wheel
 

Alright, so just changed my battery last month from the original 12 year old battery i got with the car. But i noticed when i was trying to get my inspection done, that the OBD port isnt even working. Does not work with my Peake tools code reader or even the mechanics Snap on tools OBD reader. So now im really like ???????
Please anyone with ideas on how to fix let me know.
I already made sure that
battery is securely fastened and connected correctly
fuses have been checked


so now im kind of stuck, and dont really feel like taking to dealer since the one near me is kind of not cheap! lol
