Side View Mirror

Hi
I'm new here. Need information on the replacement of the driver side mirror. Glass only, it is cracked. It is a heated mirror. BMW wants close to $400 for the job which to me is ridiculous. Any help would be appreciated.

DIY mirror replacement

Need to know how to remove the mirror, Everyone says just pop it off. It has a lot of resistance,
Do I just pry all around the mirror with force.

Is the mirroe self dimming? and yes, just pop it off with your hands.
