2002 M3 with P0012 code
Hi all, I've been chasing down a sudden rough idle with my M3.
Upon first reading the codes, there were 17 of them. Ranging from misfires on all cylinders, to random misfires, to p0012, and p0014. I thought it was the Vanos coil pack, so I replaced that with one from Beisan systems. I also cleaned out the solenoid valve block, changed out the intake CPS with a new BMW unit, and still have a rough idle and now code p0012 instantly. I removed the valve cover and looked for the broken tabs, loose bolts, and everything looks fine. Is this a Vanos failure? Anything else I'm missing that you could suggest? Thanks!! |
I would do a smoke test to check for vacuum leaks. If you are using certain odb scanners they will register P0012 and associate it with fuel trim codes for unmetered air
