Please be honest. Do you like this?

This is essentially what my car will look like, and I worked out a deal to have the decals installed at the VDC prior to delivery. I like them but I need a reality check.

A little bit too much for me.

1zamboni 02-20-2013 09:45 PM

Typical M color stripes I like it.

alee 02-20-2013 09:53 PM

I think it looks great and distinct from the other M cars.

mr29 02-20-2013 09:59 PM

not a fan of the stripes m badge is enough

For a dedicated track car, yes. For the road, nope not for me.

enigma 02-21-2013 02:06 AM

Definitely not my cup of tea...

MMME30W 02-21-2013 03:29 AM

Jon. One word.... NO! I will personally fly to S.B. and hit you upside the head if you ruin the new M3 with this. Sorry if I seem harsh, but you wanted honesty so that is what you are getting.

letuz 02-21-2013 04:01 AM

Don't do it! Too over the top

nhman 02-21-2013 04:02 AM

IMO, take a pass on the stripes. The carbon fiber trim pieces against the Alpine White is enough. Though for a BMW specific show day, the stripes could work.

Yes, that's basically the BMW Performance Center M3- which look great in person. :)

Chuck W. 02-21-2013 07:50 AM

Do it. It's your car, if you like it that is all that counts. And, if you decide after awhile that it is not doing it for you any more a heat gun and time will put it back to stock. Mods are for you to enjoy, not others to admire (though it is nice when they do :)).

edge9 02-21-2013 07:58 AM

No,

I agreee that its to much for a daily driver and those strips will be a LEO magnet:thumbdwn:

I am glad someone has actually seen it... :)

I am getting all of the other CF bits, so that is my car. I never thought I would like AW/Carbon Fiber but we just sold an R8 that was white
and loaded with carbon fiber trim and it was THE best looking R8 I've ever seen by a mile..

Capobranco 02-21-2013 08:25 AM

I would not do it - a little too "enthusiastic" for me, but as several others have said, you should not be governed by the opinions of others. IMO the essence of the M experience is a passionate personal connection with the machine - proudly go fly your M "flag".

IndyMike 02-21-2013 08:28 AM

I wouldn't do it if it were me, but since you are in SoCal you can get away with it.

Regardless of what everyone says here, if it blows your hair back I think you should go for it.

And don't forget to get matching ones for your surfboard while you're at it! :)

mini4m3 02-21-2013 09:04 AM

Ring taxi? More like BMW of Santa Barbra taxi...

immirite?

Jaysea7 02-21-2013 10:37 AM

Go for it.... Life's too short!

thekurgan 02-21-2013 12:24 PM

No.

hamlyn 02-21-2013 02:35 PM

The question should really be: Do YOU like it.
I like it and would consider getting this. I am not big on customizations, so big thumbs down on razor thin low profile tires and chrome wheels, or spoilers, for that matter. But I think this looks nice. In the end, it's what you want/like that matters, no?
What color is your car? Can't tell if it's white or gray.

thepriceisright 02-21-2013 04:25 PM

Jon, is there a list of what can be installed at the vpc?

This.

And I'm sure it looks better in person.

Jon Shafer 02-21-2013 04:43 PM
