scratching sounds when volume muted !!!

once I push the volume muted I hear still a scraching sounds like something still running drive me nuts  any idea ???

It could be the Nav hard drive.

Is the car stopped or moving when you hear the sound?

Is your Nav zoomed all the way in for the map? This causes the drive to work harder as it tries to keep the vehicle position accurate on the map. Zooming out result in less constant adjusting. So maybe just a little noisey hard drive.

Your hard drive is powered by hamsters on a treadmill. Have you been clipping their toenails at the prescribed intervals?

sounds like grounding issues to me

no all the time doesn't matter driving or standing still !!! and it's not road issue for sure

I will try zooming out of the map and c ??

Do you have the B&O system?

icu 02-25-2013 05:47 PM

yes all new F10 has it !!

ausdude 02-25-2013 05:56 PM

No not all new F10 has Band and Olufsen, its a costly upgrade. However, do you have this system?

If you do:

When you are driving turn the radio down and unlock your doors. See if the scratching sound goes away
