Microfilter Help

So, trying to do a few simple maintenance things to my 2008 M3 coupe.

I got the air filter done yesterday (after a long and hard-fought battle w/the intake boot ) and today I was going to tackle the microfilters.

The video I saw doesn't seem to have the same compartment(s) that I have. I have 2 compartments (if I've identified them correctly) near the windshield vs. one long compartment. They LOOK like you can just pop them open, but I didn't have any luck.

Can anyone provide me some guidance as to what I need to do?

Thanks in advance...

I did this a month ago. There are, I believe, 4 screws you have to remove on each side. The covers then come off and the filters are attached inside the covers.

Thank you! That's exactly what I was trying to confirm. I saw the bolts and didn't want to start down that route if by chance there was something simpler. After the hell I went through w/the air filter I was a little gun shy. Thanks again!

BTW....RTR! My husband also went to Bama. I'm originally from Florida, so it's an all SEC household. ;) We cheer on each other's teams...until we meet. Then all bets are off. :D

I did the air filter last month as well, and yes, it was a struggle figuring out the best to get it back in.
My situation is worse. My wife graduated from Auburn. She doesnt ever cheer for UA. :)
