Do smashed BMW's lose their warranty?

I have been shopping around for my first BMW and came across a real nice little 2011 128i with low milage and a pretty good price tag. It was repaired but doesn't seem to have been hit too hard. The drivers airbag went off as did the two seatbelt airbags. Would that be enough damage to write off a BMW and void any warranty? When I ran the vin number I couldn't find any information on the car and wondered if the car is blacklisted. Would there be any reason i should avoid buying this car? Thanks for your help.

For me, there appears to be enough damage (as shown in the pix) on the car, plus the airbags deploying, that I would avoid that car, likely regardless of price. Others may differ with me, but that is my personal opinion.
At the very least, an excellant price plus a written history of the repairs, the cost of the repairs, who did the repair, would be required.
Caveat emptor.

Warranty is not voided unless car was declared a total loss by insurance company. My gut says this was around $20k in damage. That would mean insurance valued the car at around $27k. So no it wasn't totaled....I can't see someone buying the salvaged car for $3k and then spending $20k more to repair.

Any BMW dealer can tell you warranty status based on vin number. If the car was properly repaired a crash would not scare me away...assuming price is right.

Heck this was almost 100% replacement panels with no body work. My biggest concern would be use of proper fluids for cooling system and power steering. The ac lines were replaced too but refrigerant is refrigerant. I don't see frame damage and don't suspect it. Like the poster above says...ask for repair info. Who did the repair and how long ago is the most important question.
