New 2014 X3 F25 Carbon Black 35i M Sport

wanted to share my pics. This a Carbon Black X3 35i M Sport with Chestnut leather and Wave Wood. So far, had black perf grills installed (dealer installed @ no cost!!). just picked up from window tinting so she's a bit dirty. told dealer not to wash or detail as I want to do the Opti cote then install the 3M clear bra. I get alot of debris, chips etc from the amt of driving I do. I will post pics after Opti Coat and clear bra treatment is done. last step will hardwire a radar detector.

Scottjays, what % tint did you get? I'm considering tinting my 2014 Carbon Black X3 35i M Sport but am not sure how it will affect the privacy glass on the rear windows.

3M Color Stable, I think I went with the 25% but it's the middle choice. I did all the windows. the rear privacy glass sux as there is no heat/IR resistance. All windows seem to match pretty well.

Do you have swirl marks on yours?

scottjays 05-01-2013 05:46 PM

no not yet and hopefully i won't. I told my advisor NOT to detail or wash the vehicle for my delivery. he was surprised but honored my request. I had Opti cote applied by a professional detailer. swirl marks are made by dirty applicator, towels or repeatedly washing with poor products. my advice find a really good detailer, they can get the swirl marks out for sure.

Good detailer is the difference.
