It seems like most of the posts are about problem with the X5. How about changing the mood with an appreciation thread?
I'll start. Here's my X5 (my wife's to be exact)

I haven't seen any 4.6iS in this thread yet ;)

They are HRE 648R, running $1500 ea new. I didn't buy them new however ;) I bought them with fairly new Michelin Diamaris for $2800.
They are on the iS now and style168 wheels with new Continental DWS are for sale ($1850 shipped)

Thank you. Dinan exhaust sounds exotic :)

ruby6689 07-02-2013 11:13 PM

This is my 'new' ride with the hideous 22" wheels that came with it, they have now been replaced with a set of stock ones. It's been raining ever since we changed them over so the poor thing is filthy so no updated photos.

She needs a bit of touch up on her front bumpers, not too sure how they managed to hit something with parking sensors :(

I see that you have an Army plate on the front..are you currently serving? I did 21 years Army and retired in 07. I have a 01 X5 myself but my mileage almost double yours.....lol 168K but my old gal still runs strong and I am about to put her in the shop to take care of the 200k maintenance early.

bobsx5 07-09-2013 04:09 PM

My son is a tanker in the Army National Guard waiting for active duty. The lady and I have had our disagreements, but we always make up.

Looks good. You need to restore those headlights.

My headlights also need restoring, can I ask can this be done yourself and if so how?
Thank you.

tmvE39/E53/Z32 07-11-2013 07:47 AM

^I use 3M headlight restoration kit. There's instruction inside the kit. Pretty easy to do if you own a drill.
