nav/dvd deck wire location help.

Hi guys , im trying to install a new aftermarket nav/dVd deck in my 2003 bmw x5 4.4.
i have 3 questions: 1ST QUESTION : WHERE IS BEST PLACE TO TAP INTO REVERSE GEAR SIGNAL WIRE? (IN THE FRONT OF THE CAR PREFERABLY)
2nd question....basically the same question but switch the reverse gear to the car speed signal wire....
3rd question : SAME QUESTION ,BUT FOR THE PARKING BREAK (USED TO DETECT ON/OFF STATUS OF THE PARKING BREAK)
Any help would be appreciated as i have been doing this for a few days now (cant find answer thru google) and those are the only things that are still confusing me. thanx in advance.just tell me the colour and location of wires ..

In the same boat

I'm doing the same thing with my 'new' 2004 E53 and have an aftermarket in dash DVD player with navigation on order from China. It has an internal amp so I am trying to decide if I should just remove the original DSP amplifier or figure out a way to use it. :dunno: The problem is the location of the original radio and amp (in the trunk!) and the corresponding wire harnesses make for a wiring puzzle. I guess this is 'a piece of the puzzle' I hadn't found yet so I'm just following your post (to hopefully ease my pain when I wire the back-up camera).

Well i got it all working now , no thanks in any way to anyone on this site.if u have questions just ask me I can prolly answer any question on hooking up every option of nv / DVD ask just did it on 3 different decks. (Bought3 to test for best quality.....in the end went with top of the line alpine for the sound quality and ease of use.but also worked a top of the line pioneer and a clarion.
