I have looked in the owners manual, all thru I drive....every where and I cannot find how to adjust the width of the active side bolsters, they are squeezing the hell outta me! Please help. 2008 535xi

If you have comfort seats it is on the side of the seat....

+1 going from memory, they are a set of buttons on their own in front and slightly above the larger seat up/down/tilt bar (again, on the comfort seats)

I think you can also do it in the iDrive menu.

Only if you have the active ones (ie. you have an M5)!

Sure... had to rub it in for us non-M's :)

On the 550 active side bolsters were optional on M-Sport cars as well (only on LCI cars and rarer than night vision, never seen one with them personally, but they are out there - somewhere).
If your car came with active side bolsters there would be a button below the seat heating on the console to turn them on/off, also the adjusters are 2 little round buttons on the side of the seat.

My bad. Didn't realize that was a M only option.

Read above, it's not an M only option
