What is the proper procedure for putting a 330i on a lift?
 
I'm going to bring my car to a friend who has a lift. I'm wondering what is the proper procedure for putting the car on the lift? Also where should I position the 4 lift points under the car?

4 post lift, you should just drive up on the platform. 2 post lift (it's got 2 posts, and 2 arms extending from each post), center the vehicle between the posts and place the arms beneath the black plastic puck you place jacks/jackstands under.

Make sure you have someone who's familiar with operating the lift there with you!
