It has plastic edges on both sides that snap it into the lower radiator hose to keep it in...

ATF, TC Solenoid and guibo flex were preventive. I should have also done the rear main gasket but it was not leaking. The torque converter (seal) failed I had code P0741.

Would this job be easier...

Replaced original torque converter/solenoid, guibo flex disc, atf fluid and filter at 175,000 miles with fully synthetic mobile 1. Drain and refill all good two years later.

That connector will only plug into the MID...

That connector will only plug into the MID display which you can still hook up when needed to adjust date/time etc on the Hi cluster.
