No...the switch doesn't show anything on the dash either way. The spring loaded action of the switch seems to be good. It moves "momentary" into either position then returns to center.

It is a PITA on our BMW's, but worth the effort...Repeat the filter/fluid change about three times. This will get about 80% of the old stuff out...takes about 4-5 times if the old stuff was real ugly.
