Woah...I am a DIY guy and I really think that this will require disassembly of the airbag at the component level to have the connector replaced.Best to contact the airbag manufacturer.........

if oil level is physically ok then perhaps the oil level sensor is...

really...till this very day i really cannot take the fact that the starter on the e60 can be so weak as to fail so easily when my previous e30 and e34 went on for 10 years with no issues on starting...

if it was stuck open it is akin to not having a thermostat fitted and you can drive the car all year long but it will not be running at its optimum temp and performance with probably a higher fuel...
