And, if you find the arm, the switch can be reassembled quite easily....overstaffing the trunk with groceries and stuff can make the deck floor bounce up and down, that switch if pushed the wrong way...

Nope, didn't have any issues like that.....closed system like that, should be self bleeding. I do get a delay as it spools up, but it's not 5 seconds, more like 2-3, but, there is a lag.

Pulled it apart. It was stuck with the #5 tray extended. Reassembled, and installed....well, plugged back in, operation normal. There were only CDs in trays 1,2,3 and 6..... Everything worked...

Auto? Standard?....sounds like a switch, not necessarily the key, but the ignition switch? Doubt it's the starter, you can look for voltage at the starter when the key is turned on....good luck

The sensor will need to be replaced also, you are driving a German machine, be ready to pony up the money. I have just ordered 4 discs, and pads, along with a rear sensor.....cheaper to replace them...
