You're not alone. I have the same issue, with either fob. For some reason, you need to be quite close for a BMW remote to work. Closer that any other car I've owned..go figure. Frustrating, but still...

Yikes! $4,500 for 75,000/4 years! Sounds high to me. Through my credit union, I payed $2,000 for an additional 4 years/60,000. Platinum coverage, virtually covering bumper to bumper, minus of course...

What your hearing is more than likely the fan for the rear climate control. When the rear fan is being used, it reduces the power to the front..big time. FYI, it's real easy to bump the rear controls.

Easy to replace, standard install. No thru the fender, at least for the halo bulb. I haven't had to replace the others. I picked mine up at O'Reilly's.

Let us know how it went. One of mine has a crack and needs replacing. The dealer said it can be tricky, and I'd have to agree, as the one is cracked and the other is warped, and now glued.

It's a straight forward bulb replacement, right thru the engine compartment. Small hands help, and don't forget to put the cap back on! It's a little more expensive than the bulb:rolleyes:

There is no buffing scratches out of a non painted bumper, without leaving a another kind of blemish. Wax is also REAL fun getting out of those surfaces. BMW seems to have caught onto this, and it's...

03/08 3.0 here. I'd sure like to know what causes the ticking. It's intermittent on start up, and doesn't always happen when cold. I'm embarrassed to drive it down the street, and can sometimes hear...

The factory ones aren't functional, at all, for adults. If anything, the added width makes it more difficult, as is quite often the case with these, pretty to look at, running boards. That said, I...

FYI, at least in my case, the trim that popped out was perfect. Just the integrated bumper clips were "shaved" off with the impact.

I gave up, tried everything. It just wouldn't take. I have a pretty old garage door opener, but my last 2 cars, an 08 Saab, and a 08 Infinity, paired the first try, go figure. Good luck!
