What you need is to recode your Car/Key memory using NCS Expert.

It's not an error, and by the way you need at least INPA to diagnose BMW. Standard OBD code readers are too generic. And to correct this, you need NCS Expert.

To jeepo23: I don't know where did you read about valet key, but I drive with it for hours.
Remote and transponder are two separate functions within a bmw key fob, they share some circuitry btw....
