Thank you. What a shame. We both love this car. I live in NH, and I doubt there is such as thing as a transmission shop that knows any thing about rebuilding it. Maybe some whwere in Mass.

Does the transmission have to be torn down to determine it`s problems? I have heard the replacing just the valve body can sometimes solve the p roblem, and can be done without removing the tranny????

Battery is new. This problem is not a regular thing. It happens only when the outside temp is really high, and when it cools down it goes away. It has only happened a few times.
