I dunno if its different in the US, but ONLY the M sport 540i's came with the tin "ducts" with the opening to the brakes. All M5's have the tin duct, but there is NO hole in the inner fender lining...

They will only work in a projector style housing (IE HID housing) and they do require a slight amount of fabrication (actually removal) of the bulb housing...
