You need a pair, one left and one right. each bulb iluminate both rings for that...

Turbos nowadays are very robust, modern turbos has better metalurgy, has coolint and always lubricated. You have to abused them beyond reasonable to coked the bearings....

in WA state, I have not seen any gasoline with no Ethanol added. USed to be winter time only but now all year. But my 2002 X5 survived on a single fuel filter @97k and 12-yrs of E10.

If the condesation persist then you have problem, BMW headlamps has a rubber valve to let moisture to escape. Either the headlamp cracks or the rubber valve is broken.
