All E60's have the idrive system controlled with the knob behind the shifter...

Im not sure where the amp is on a wagon , but would guess its on the driver side behind...

The rear coolant passage cover is behind the flywheel . In order to remove the cover and get to the gasket , flywheel has to be removed .

Interesting that it made the engine that much quieter and such a noticeable difference .. Wonder what kinds of lubricants they use, that would reduce friction and bring engine noise levels down .

If the Dme relay checks out good or replaced and still dont start . I would say both crank and cam need to be ruled out . Do you have BMWhat to check codes ? That would give you a direction to seek...

I would call or go talk to the BMW parts guy and inquire about it . I'm sure they will give you the part number and location of the DME main relay ..

Also my second suspect is the Crank...

Ok thats good . This confirms and rules out the relay and fuel pump . So its safe to say you are getting fuel to the rail .

So if you got fuel . Most likely you don't have spark to plugs or power...

You can go to the hard ware store and pick up a 5/16 aluminum tubing . Cut it to length and install it with new clamps . For just a few bucks and it's better than the plastic original .

You have to get to the end of the drain hose it...

You have to get to the end of the drain hose it has a plug on the end that gets clogged .
Its not hard and some thing you must do to fix the water overflow which is why you have water in the cab....
