This is my take also. I always changed brake fluid by time, never mileage. Same for my bimmers, same for my old 1967 Austin Mini Cooper S, even though I only drove the Mini every month or so.

Take the bulb out, give the fixture a good sandpapering, maybe use some dielectric grease and assemble. Might take a bit of adjustment, too.
