They would still have a fan clutch on the water...

They would still have a fan clutch on the water pump, and an electric fan on the front of the radiator for the aircon. The electric fan on it's own will not be enough to cool the engine unfortunately.

Depends what weight it is and if It's right for your climate otherwise there's no problem using synthetic oil. But I would stick to good old dino oil if you can. It's much cheaper and there's no need...

Mmm yeah that does seem a little unusual. I would try cleaning your idle control valve (ICV) and also check for air leaks in the vacuum lines. Hopefully that's all it is.

The clucking sound depending where its coming from could also be your front control arms. They need to be replaced as the ball joints wear out after many miles.
