IIRC, that clamp attaches to the inboard side of the front lower wheel liner to the bumper. There is one clamp on each side.

I don't think you can remove just the wood part because there is nothing under it but the plastic part that actually grabs the shift lever. Mine broke, so I replaced it with one of the leather...

Fudman, I like the Akebonos. I have about 80,000 miles on the front pads and they still have at least 30% left. So if you're waiting for them to wear out, don't. Just go ahead and swap them out.

You should be able to heat the bumper cover a bit to bend back into shape. When it cools, it will stay where you put it.

AFAIK, the headlight leveling senor is on the right suspension. Shouldn't be much else there...
