steering rack options

149.00 for a rebuilt from rack doctor
100.00 for a craigslist e30 rack
90.00 for a junkyard e30 or e36 rack
is an e36 that much better or stick with a rebuilt stock
not really concerned about the...

Headlight/foglight issue

tried the junk yards already. vast majority of the e30's there were because of throwing the timing belt. Hardly any were wrecked. So most of them had pretty thrashed heads. I had a local shop quote...

thats a good start
you will also have to remove the sunroof panel via the torx screws
remove the long flat retainer plates and 2 smaller plates...

Yea was kinda figuring that.
Have no idea how it broke, not sure how that area got stressed by the timing belt failure.
Maybe some previous owner had their own idea on how to torque the head bolts.

head problem

New member here. Been lurking for a while.
I was just given a not running 89 325i.
Was told it tossed a timing belt.
Couple broken rockers and bent valves, pistons are ok.
One snag is the broken...
