Same observation here, omodos. On both my cars (one with a brand new battery that I bought this summer) the MXS 5.0 stays at phase 4 long time. Which, as dkl says, is completely normal.

Omodos, very good point! I hadn't seen this chart before. If the CTek makes 15.8 V pulses during the first stage of the charging, then this is for sure not so detrimental to the car's electronics...
