It is important to note that the 2013 model year was the second year of production for the F10 M5. It was released a year later in the US and no other rear end fires were reported publicly at least.

The door handle is right there... Just one touch...

The door handle is right there... Just one touch and it is unlocked and you can close the fuel door. If I am looking over my car at the drivers side I doubt a slider is going to come at me.

I would caution intoducing a dissimilar metal in the cooling system. Stick with aluminum or plastic.
