We bought an '88 325is that we really liked, but just had tons of bad luck with for the two years that we owned it -- nothing about the car, the car was great, never broke down, even with 216k miles...

I'm pretty sure it's not the valve cover that is leaking. The front of the engine is all nice and sparkly clean now, so I can see where it is coming from. I will keep an eye on it.
