There are some trannys that have different valve body's. Sonnax will recommend that you drop the pan to identify the valve body that is in your car. You can find the kits on Ebay cheaper than most....

Your expansion tank has most likely cracked. I would also verify if your coolant fan is running, they are known for going bad. When the engine overheats, get out & see if the fan is running.
