Yes they did. I remember this. The problem in his case was a bad radiator if I remember correctly. Most didn't think that was the problem and the dealer had also changed the thermostat twice.

4 year leases are more expensive than 3 years typically... almost always. BMW is smart, and they do this on purpose. They want the car back while it still has a year left on it's 4 year warranty.
